Hillary is not your mother
by hommesuisse

Do not be tempted to take sympathy on her when faced with the many images of her trying so hard to hold back the tear in these last hours going up to this crucial vote.

She is not your mother, not Dorothy, not the Wizard, not Eleanor Roosevelt.

She is a lawyer who married a political co-dependent who only got his act together when his non-marital sex life was outed.

We look forward to smiles on the faces of Al Gore, Jay Rockefeller, Jimmy Carter and others when we wake up tomorrow morning here in Europe.

The Tilda Swinton role in Michael Clayton?

Maybe it recalls her Little Rock days.

You have to admit....there is a sense of empathy for her.

We all have mothers, sisters, wives, daughters. She is the first serious female contender for the highest office, and while I have already voted for Obama, there is a sense of 'heartbreak' for her in my liberal heart.

I get the sense that she is saying to herself: "Can't I have this one? You know I put up with a philandering husband and all the BS, can't I just get this one for me?" Although, I agree that she is probably more self-calculating than that....she knew what she had with Bill.

Texans for Obama in 2008 and beyond!
