What kills me about all of H. Clinton's arguments...

...is that they could equally have been used against Bill Clinton in 1992.

While he had been Governor of Arkansas for many years, that was about it - no federal level experience whatsoever. Barack Obama may be lacking in governor-level experience, but at least he got his feet wet in the Senate. So whenever Hillary Clinton starts talking about the experience that Barack Obama doesn't have, I just start to laugh.

I am not an Obama-maniac (I was a big fan of Bill Richardson and am hoping that whoever wins, someone brings him in in a Cabinet position). And at one time, I thought I could have voted for Hillary Clinton, but not anymore. Watching her lack of grace under pressure (when you consider half of diplomacy is being able to keep a poker face) and the continued dirty-tricks - after 8 years of Karl Rove politics, it just makes her less attractive.

As nebulous as Barack Obama is, I have to admit he's running a hell of a campaign. Simple, positive message, light on actual details, acute use of his charisma. Kind of like, say Bill Clinton...

throw in Carter, Reagen, W. Bush... no real foreign policy experience what so ever before they took the job.

fear mongering- just like they always accused Rove's crowd of...

experience matters? two of the most experienced politicos in Washington- Rumsfeld and Cheney got us into the iraq mess. so it's obvious that just having experience is not enough. one needs judgement, character, courage, etc. i am not for obama or hillary; i am just tired of hearing about the "experience" mantra. did lincoln have much experience when he was elected? he was one of the least experienced presidential candidates. so let's drop this "experience" business already.

how about representing the united states in 80 different countries? for all purposes being the ambassador of the u.s.

how about giving a speech about womens rights in CHINA?

how about making a vote that was HARD when the president of the united states was LYING about wmd?

how about obama making a damned SPEECH at an anti war rally???? coming to the senate voting the same way as clinton on EVERY vote for the war? how about him saying at one time he wouldnt KNOW how he would have voted????? but he CONVENIENTLY forgot about?

you obamers are such pitiful egomaniacs

working for our children by voting to send them off to war? you have some crazy ideas about what the definition of that word is, is. Maybe you meant supporting NAFTA and sending future jobs for American children overseas?

Quit using the term Obamers! You sound like a 10 year old!

"how about representing the united states in 80 different countries? for all purposes being the ambassador of the u.s."

Yes! There you have it. The perfect job for Hillary Clinton! She can be President Obama's ambassador to the U.N.

IRS eyes UCC over Obama's Hartford speech... The IRS said in the letter that it was concerned about articles posted on the church's Web site and on other sites stating that Obama had addressed nearly 10,000 people at the event. The agency also said Obama volunteers had staffed campaign tables "outside the center to promote his campaign." <link>

"dems rock wrote the following post at 03/01/2008 8:12 PM:

What has she actually accomplished working for CHILDREN?

Michelle Obama is also interested in working for CHILDREN as first lady; should she be "experienced" enough to run for office after being the first lady for 8 yrs?

"how about representing the united states in 80 different countries? for all purposes being the ambassador of the u.s."

Many different politicians can put up similar credentials. Bill Richardson actually was an Ambassador for the USA, and yet he still lost in the primaries to someone who "for all intensive purposes" could have been an ambassador.

"how about giving a speech about womens rights in CHINA?"

Every womens right organization boycotted this event as CHINA had no intention on listening. Since that SPEECH what has Hillary done to back up the rights of women in CHINA? If you are claiming EXPERIENCE froms Bills term in the White House then why not bring up the most favored trade status with CHINA that Bill brought into play?

"how about making a vote that was HARD when the president of the united states was LYING about wmd?"

What was HARD about that vote? If we actually cared about WMDs we would have been focusing on the several other nations that we knew actually had them with specific intent on using them against the US (i.e. North Korea).

"how about obama making a damned SPEECH at an anti war rally???? coming to the senate voting the same way as clinton on EVERY vote for the war? how about him saying at one time he wouldnt KNOW how he would have voted????? but he CONVENIENTLY forgot about?

Every policy point that you have previously brought up has been nothing more then speeches. Hillary has pretty much only given speeches on helping CHILDREN, Hillary might have gone to those 80 countries but what did she do outside of give pandering speeches, and Hillary just gave a SPEECH in CHINA on womens rights and then did nothing to follow through with making it right in terms of policy.

What experience is there to show that actually equates to being effective, or even relevant?

Her 35 yrs. of experience puts her back into law school while Obama actually holds twice the elected experience. Take a look at the bills that both candidates have authored in the library of congress website and you will see that Hillarys time in the senate has ended up with her being able to say that half of the bills that she has authored were to name public places like post offices and parks while Obama has actually authored several times the amount of bills most of which actually are of substance.

"...is that they could equally have been used against Bill Clinton in 1992."

No comparison between three years in the senate and Arkansas AG and three term governor. Successfull executive experience, which is why governors win the presidency more often than senators. Difference between a cubicle cowboy and a CEO, one in one hundred or one at the top.

Next line down in the opening response:

While he had been Governor of Arkansas for many years, that was about it - no federal level experience whatsoever.

And what does this election have to do with Bill anyway?
