But is it a good read?
by steelbucket

We're not exactly talking the Hitler diaries here or the collective works of David Irving rewriting the past.

Instead we have a work of fiction purporting to be fact about the survival of a victim of the holocaust. As far as I can tell (and I freely admit to not having read the book and nor I am) nobody is disputing the general holocuast bits.

Its the long trek through the forest and the dances with wolves bit that takes some swallowing.

However it does seem to be a valid point that the holocaust is now taken as sacroscant and that nobody is allowed to question any aspect, no matter how small or trivial to the main events.

What really seems to be pissing people off is the thought that because of this attitude they have been made to look foolish.

BTW, the same thing is happening about 9/11. Forget the loony conspiracy theories but anything said about the events of 9/11 has to reflect the correct amount of reverental tone and cannot question the mythology that is being built up around the twin towers..
