XX Shows Some Fairness Toward Hillary
by Mara5525

Hannah Rosin writes: "On nearly any subject—health care, Iran, Korea—she's more impressive. So, I guess what I'm saying is I wish people would admit they prefer him just because they prefer him, and not give him points he didn't earn."

I'd say that Rosin's admission is also what is impressive. It's Honest. Fair. Considerate. And reasonable. It does not make Clinton into a monster Or an icon.

What has really dismayed me is how petty XX, in general, is about Hillary Clinton. It makes me want to vote for her just to stand up for her. Hateful comments about Clinton come across as petty and, often enough, also seem to be ill-informed.

I do not hate Obama in the least. If it comes down to it, I will gladly vote for him. But I don't see why Hillary has to be raked over the coals by having jabs at her age, her intelligence and her looks thrown in for spite.

Women do Not have to vote for Clinton. Still, one can hope that women would at least not attack her in the kind of nasty ways associated with Queen Bees ruling the high-school hallways and cafeterias.

When Hillary complains about something, or just merely makes an observation, she's whining, throwing a tantrum, etc. When Obama claims that HRC is responsible for sending a photo to Drudge, people are outraged at Hillary. No, HE's not whining at all.

It's true, Hillary can't win the politics of perception. It's really disturbing to see all the whining, crying, tantrum crap.

The comment about her being more impressive was under the supposition that you were reading the transcripts.

How is that being fair? Basically you are saying is- "If you read what her handlers told her to say, she is more impressive. Too bad she doesn't have charisma, personality, or the ability to deliver a coherent message without causing the sensation of fingernails on a chalkboard to 90% of the viewers."

I wonder which ass she chewed harder: the staff puke that gave her the Xerox line or the one who gave her the SNL snipe?

Who is the Queen Bee that runs the cafeteria? I couldn't think of a more apt description of Hillary and her clique.

She was no where close to being as intellectually competent in this debate. The only way one could honestly think that is if they agreed with all of Clinton's positions and regarded any other position as 'stupid'.

That pretty much sums up the Hillary approach. Congratulations. You've found your candidate!

Need anything more be said about it?

Nope, the same thing happened to Kerry in 2004.

That's the final nail in her coffin for sure!

Perception seems to be all that we, as a nation, really care about anymore, when it comes to politics. In fact, I'm sure that if Obama gets in, many of the same people lauding him now will be tearing him to shreds later. Ho-hum. On it goes...

She's still going to be Senator Clinton, fool. And she can run again. Stop thinking that a savior, in the form of Obama is going to show us all the way. He's also (spell it with me, my lovelies) a: p.o.l.i.t.i.c.i.a.n., too. Gee. How 'bout that?

Or maybe even the other way around...

I agree that, for years now, Hillary has gotten a very raw deal in the characterization of her actions, motivations and person, a lot of it, I believe based on her gender, and, like you, I find these responses to be unworthy and unfair.

However, I do believe that she, or rather her campaign--which should be under her authority--is now acting in ways that are reprehensible, and reinforcing all the worst stereotypes about her supposed ambition, ruthlessness, etc.

This is the most recent example that I know about:

According to Texas blogsite Burnt Orange Report today: Hillary's campaign has a video ad in Texas saying Ann Richards (God rest her) would have been campaigning for her were she still alive, and asking people to vote for her (Hillary) 'for Ann!' I kid you not,

And, it turns out, though she had the permission of Ann's youngest daughter for same, Ann's sons had not given permission, and one of them in particular is really p- I mean, upset, saying the campaign had asked him for permission, been refused TWICE, asked him if he would sue, and upon being told no, he wasn't the suing kind, released the ad anyway, at least into the blogosphere. (Not sure if they have bought actual airtime for it yet...).

...too horrific to believe, and yet it seems to be true.

I feel truly sorry for Sen. Clinton now and am watching her campaign the same way I used to watch scary movies: virtually peering through my fingers, because it is too awful to watch and yet I can't bring myself to look away.
