Ret. General Colin Powell recently spoke here in Indianapolis at Butler University, Feb. 18th, 2008, and shared an anecdote how he was stopped at the airport, wanded by security head to foot. In fact, the guy wanding him said, "Aren't you Colin Powell?" He replied, "Yes, I am. If you know who I am, then why aren't you over there trying to find Osama Bin Laden?" (He gestured like he was pointing to the other passengers waiting in line.)
Let's not become a nation divided and afraid of each other because we all have different races, ethnicities, faiths and sexual orientations to say the least. Let's use some common sense, as Senator Obama suggests, in our approach to each other and show each other mutual respect.
