Vocational training

Maybe there's an untapped market for vocational games. Not all learning is about facts.I know I learned a bit about running military operations in urban terrain from Full Spectrum Warrior: Ten Hammers!

I've probably also learned a bit about how to control skids from all the driving games I've played. I've learned sports rules and strategies from games.I haven't ever played a serious fishing or hunting sim, but I imagine they teach you something too.

Perhaps there's room for a Pimp My Ride game that teaches something about being a mechanic. Any other suggestions?

I once played this game called Shenmue, in which you have to get a part-time job as a forklift operator. I definitely had moments where I wondered, "why am I doing this, again?"

I know the feeling. There's a bit in "Mafia: City of Lost Heaven" where you have to spend 15 minutes loading boxes onto a truck. Or, you can just kill everybody in the entire docks area. Vocational training for disgruntled delivery men?

To all you guys who complain that this stuff is boring, I'm pretty sure that what is really true is that YOU are boring. It is possible to find things interesting that don't have tons of explosions and squealing cars. I bet you never read books either.
