Thanks, 'DUMBLEDORE DIES.'
by coteroo
I'm so glad to see Stevens has finally caught on to the trend of lame (like, 'yeah, I totally went out Saturday night...what? Oh, to my friend Dave's party...what? Oh yeah, there was a band, totally rad, dude...what? Oh, well, yeah, they play Guitar Hero, that kind of, um, music...'-type lame) twentysomething losers who spoil the endings of things people look forward to seeing because they have nothing else to do on their Friday nights.

Honestly, if you can't review a movie without telling specifically how it all turns out, you have no idea what movies are about in the first place. And yeah, I know my American movies are all going to turn out smashingly in the end, and everyone'll be smiling their asses off, but still--if I could not no EXACTLY how Mos Def saves the universe (or the video store, etc.) before I enter the theatre, that'd be SUPER. thanks.

I think there should be a spoiler warning in people's texts. Somewhere. The reader should be able to know where to stop if he don't want to be spoiled. On the otherhand, where can we write about the endings or other plot twists that might be surprises but need to be writin about.

Want to add tho, re American movies 'always turning out smashingly'...nuh-uh...check out last nights Oscar winner for best movie. Ends decisively unsmashingly, unless of course (spoiler coming!) you believe culture has come to an end and the bad guys have won...and there is a monster afoot in the land.
