Can anyone come up with a premise more ridiculous than "since we have erased all the films in the store we will re-make them all...before the owner returns?" It only begins to work if the dumbells are Supermen and can move about and do things...a million times faster than the ordinary person.

It seems like Gondry revels in this kind of absurdity because one can easily imagine many interesting scanarios wherein a couple of filmic naifs actually do have to come up with movie "re-shoots". But noooooooo....nothing like that for Gondry. He wants us to not only watch the simpletons make the films (which could be really interesting) but also watch a simple minded movie about them making simple minded movies.

Gondry, it would appear, tho truly talented, has, at this point, a flaw, not harmful for making commercials, but fatal for making interesting films.
