Obama vs. Clinton

I am disappointed in this whole election. Starting with Mr. Obamas reaction when sworn in. Doesnt that flicker any sort of light in our small American heads that he isnt running to be OUR leader? What does it have to take for american people to understand that our four fathers founded this country to protect us. Turning his back on us would only make our nation weak not strong as it has been. By having the constitution, the bill of rights, our national anthem and our ONE NATION UNDER GOD!, we want a leader who believes in all these things (well at least I do). It sickens me to think that the people of this country wouldnt want the same thing. What is our country coming to? I read an email that truly upset me and this last part really made me think. (these are not my words). "The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US from the inside out, what better way to start than at the highest level through the President of the United States, one of their own!!!! Now i realize that he is not 100% muslim but his dad is and he lived in Jakarta the mojority of his life. So i ask you, who do you think he would be most loyal to... The US or where he was brought up. I am not trying to sway anyones votes by any means but I do want the american public to truly think about that they want to have in the future for themselves, their children and their childrens children. And are we truly ready for this kind of a big change. Now with Hillary Clinton well she is digging herself a big hole the minute she opens her mouth. The back stabbing the racial comments. Its clear to me that for sure this society is not ready for a female either. Come on Hillary get your act together!

www.snopes.com among other sites have rejected the claims that Obama is a muslim and the other claims in the forwarded email here.

Is this post for real?

I'm not sure what you are referencing in Obama's swearing in, but perhaps it's this (from PolitiFact.com):

"An anonymous e-mail says Barack Obama took the oath of office for the U.S. Senate on a Koran, the holy book of Islam. We thought it would be odd if that were true, since Obama is a Christian. In fact, it is wrong. .

"Two press reports from Obama's swearing-in ceremony in January 2005 mention specifically that Obama took the oath of office by placing his hand on his own copy of the Bible. The Barack Obama campaign also confirmed that it was a Bible and that the book belonged to Obama. Vice President Dick Cheney, in his role as president of the Senate, administered the oath.

"It goes without saying that...with its intent to inflame, we find the e-mail's allegation not only false, but Pants-on-Fire wrong."

Now, Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn., no relation to Obama) was sworn in on a Koran: a copy that once belonged to Thomas Jefferson (one of the "four fathers" you mention: the other three were George Washington, John Adams, and Ben Franklin). Ellison is a convert to Islam; Obama is not.

Additionally, Obama's father was raised as a Muslim, but had renounced the religion and was essentially an atheist at the time Obama was born. Not to mention, he left the U.S. when Obama was two years old: hardly old enough to have had Islamic tenets taught to him. Obama is currently a Christian who has been going to the same church (United Church of Christ: an American Protestant denomination) for nearly two decades.

Obama did not, as you assert, live in Jakarta (Indonesia) "the mojority of his life." (His mojo is entirely American). He lived in Jakarta for less than 5 years (ages 6-10). He has lived in the U.S. for the entire rest of his life. So, I answer you, he would feel more loyalty to the U.S., which IS where he was brought up, for the most part.

Before you resort to libel, you might check your facts...

I don't normally stoop to this level of discourse, but nina_samone33@yahoo.com, you are a fucking idiot.

Gotta agree with Dr. Geek. You're a fucking idiot.

Our FOREfathers would roll in their eyes to see your post. By the way, everyone of our FOREfathers (not talking founders/presidents here but those who settled America) were foreigners. Oh My God.

Go be scared somewhere else.

Our Four Fathers
by SalientMan

It's the funniest sitcom to hit network TV since MY TWO DADS...it's OUR FOUR FATHERS!

The story of three friends trying to start a fledgeling democracy: Georgie Washington the jock, Tom Jefferson the brooding wannabe poet, and John Adams: the fat one. But what happens when bad boy Benny Franklin moves in next door? Could these four guys suddenly find themselves with...a nation on their hands? TV Guide gives OUR FOUR FATHERS four fatherly stars, and Variety says, "Creating democracy has never been this much fun!"

OUR FOUR FATHERS...own it today on DVD and BluRay Disc!

Thank goodness you could find something funny in Nina's post! Otherwise it would have been a complete waste of electrons.

I hope she read your first post. Just think. There are a million more idiots out there like her. And then they voted.
