If you want to see malfeasance, ineptitude and idiocy, check out the Goudge Inquiry presently ongoing in Ontario where Dr. Charles Smith has been found to have erred on many autopsies involving deaths of children. One man spent 20 yrs in jail, having been convicted for raping and murdering his niece. He's out, but his family still won't speak to him. One woman spent time in jail for murdering her daughter. It's now been found she was bitten and mauled by dogs. And another woman lost custody of her living child after being found to have been involved in the death of her older child. It's too late to get that child back - he's an adult who was adopted. Imagine the suffering and heartache.

It recently came out that Dr. Smith served as an expert witness in the US as well. Who knows what sort of damage he has done in those cases

This is not new for San Berardino County. 15 years ago their were a couple of Forensic pathologists who were dry sinking Autopsies. Resulting not only in erroneous procecutions but failures to prosicute Chil Abuse murders.

The system is only as good as the one who iinterprets the data and presents it to the courts. Unfortunately there is no such thing as peer review in the court system.
