Thanks for recalling the brilliance of Flann O'Brien, a.k.a. Brian O'Nolan, a.k.a. Myles na gCopaleen. You won't find a funnier, nor more schizophrenic, writer in a long day's walk. I'd also recommend the compilation of his columns written for the Irish Times under the pen name Myles na gCopaleen while he was still working as a civil servant, with his supervisor apparently the only person in Dublin who didn't know who Myles na gCopaleen was.
