The Age Stereotype
by almiqui
I am an almost thirty year old supporter of Barack Obama. All of my thirty-plus friends, my father, my mother, and my older sister are Barack Obama supporters. In fact, the majority of people at an exposition center where I attended a speech by Mr. Obama (and later well-wished him and shook his hand) were above forty years old, like the meeting's introduction speaker, a local business woman who fought cancer and is married with children. Who did our local media interview and waste all of their film footage on? Two young college students and the pack of college students seated on the stage behind our future president. Of course.

I should add--look at the statistics provided at any website posting primary results. An overwhelming majority of Obama supporters have read both of his books. An overwhelming majority, as well, admit to having graduate education and beyond. Is this a callow constituency?

Oh, plu-eeeez. What's funnier than the breaking up letter? A letter from an Obamaphile upset at an age stereotype. This is toooo funny.

Signed,
