Considering that cable news is impoverished when it comes to good journalism, I find it difficult to comprehend how an event - which failed to register as anything at all when I was audience to it - can result in the loss of one of the best in the profession. Shuster has been a favorite of mine since his coverage of the Libby Trial, where he served as a bastion of accuracy and detail in a sea of misleading and misinformed generalizations.

Most disconcerting, is the fact that journalism syndicates will make decisions - that are ultimately editorial - based upon the commands of those who should be under the scrutinizing eye of the press.

I would comment on the Clintons, but they are without shame with which to begin, so what is the point.
