To me it seems strange that there is such a lack of respect by immigrants that come to a country founded on Christian principles. Not that I am supporting oppression, but let's be realistic. Sharia law and abuse of women is not something most folks support. If I were to visit a country in the Mid East whose government clearly was based on Sharia values, I wouldn't expect them to change to suit my beliefs, although I might be grateful for tolerance of them. There is a fine line between supporting abusive polices for the sake of "diversity" and drawing a cultural line. To change well established polices for the sake of economics or politics is not a prudent measure. To reverse them at a later date might entail violent interaction. I think reasserting Christian values with tolerance of diversity is the best way to go. I am not supportive of the inching forward of Islam into free countries. When murder happens, such as honor killings, time to draw the line. Intellectual discussion is one thing, abuse, rape, murder is something else. When philosophy crosses the line into physical threat, that is where our laws need to say "enough". Establish our western boundaries. We will survive economically, even without their support. They came because of freedom, don't let them down.
Also, if we did become pro life, meaning overturning Roe v Wade, our foreign relations with the mid east I believe would improve. They could no longer point to us as the country that kills its young at the reckless whim of its women, men having no say and fathers being absent from consideration. Do you imagine the grief other countries may feel in watching us day after day destroying our future? They looked up to us. We were a role model. And they grieve with the mothers, fathers, grandfathers, sisters and brothers of those that will never take a breath of free air. Haven't you ever been disappointed by someone that you looked up to? How did that disillusionment affect you? Didn't you begin to look to other people and revise your viewpoint? Didn't you ignore the person, get angry at that person? That can't be good for us economically nor for our security.
Please consider your viewpoints on your Christian faith. Not everyone is evangelical, but in the quiet of your homes, re establish your borders and boundaries.
Thanks.
