I hope the subject headline makes this clear, but you shouldn't read further if you haven't seen Ep. 7.

Plotz and Goldberg criticize Ep. 6 offering yet another unrealistic (and lame) string of newsroom segments. Whatever offense to realism and integrity the newsroom scenes might contain, they can't hold a candle to the Clay Davis courtroom scenes in Ep. 7.
Oh. My. God. I understand that Bond is not a sharp litigator. However, there is not a lawyer out there who wouldn't object to a non-responsive narrative from a witness, answers that are thoroughly irrelevant to any element of the charged offense, etc. We are talking really basic stuff here - stuff that any decent law student knows, let alone an experienced trial lawyer.
Simon seems to have thrown all caution to the wind, and along with any pretense at the realism for which The Wire is famous. Bah, how disappointing...
