Any other conservatives feel the same way? I really don't care for McCain or Huckabee. Romney wasn't so great either. I wish Paul and Thompson would have faired better. The party has changed so much :/ I can't in good conscience vote for McCain.

This year is a loser for the GOP. Primary turnouts show it, public opinion shows it, campaign contributions show it. And you deserve it, 8 years of Bush committing crimes against humanity abroad and destroying everything he can that is great about America demand this result.

But in 4 or 8 years, you'll have a bunch of new faces claiming no attachment to the current disgrace that is the GOP. And they'll make a run at getting back in control of the government they despise so much.

There aren't any good candidates on either side so don't feel bad. I am a conservative but not a Republican, parties are abusive forces. No matter which is in power, it will ultimately be corrupted. We see it every time, absolute power corrupts absolutely.

A Reagan, Kennedy, etc.. come along once in a great while that is what makes them great.

The conservatives have been boxed out for getting any more power in the GOP. Too bad, they were most effective at affecting change and reaching the voters with the right message. I know that right now the left should be smearing George Allen of Virginia, he'd easily be the strongest candidate in the race, had it not been for the liberal media and finicky voters of northern Virginia.
