What gives anyone the right to go after a young girl just because one of her parents runs for public office?

The "Pimped Out" fellow shows a lack of character, disregard for job, need for education and so on and on.

Perhaps they should pick him up and empty his pockets.

Yuk!

"What gives anyone the right to go after a young girl just because one of her parents runs for public office?"

Do you even understand the ISSUE?

Shuster's wording was stupid, but his question is FAIR. Chelsea has been working overtime lobbying superdelegates on behalf of her Mom - while legal, it's certainly a bit undemocratic and questionable - worthy of being questioned.

She is an adult who has chosen a political role. What gives anyone the right to question political operatives?

Um . . . . THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

"Do you even understand the ISSUE?"

Your simplistic dismissal of the query reveals exactly what is wrong with so-called "news" nowadays. Whatever his intent, using "pimped", "pimped-out", or any variation in reference to ANY public figure, not just Hilary and Bill's daughter, is at least graceless and vulgar, an should be considered far below any professional standard of journalism. Much of America's social polarization owes a debt to this lack of civility in public discourse, or respect for human dignity that passes for "cutting-edge" or "snarky" when it is fact just plain mean-spirited ignorance aimed at diverting attention to personal idiosyncracy in order to obscure issues. Interestingly, a certain segment of the population seems far more interested in this tripe than in actual issues or change or improvement in the American political, social, or economic landscape - far more important to poke and dig at personal foibles than to struggle to expand one's closed little mind enough to accomodate some grasp of actual issues and viable solutions.... ah well, no mind left behind.....
