looking into the future back in 1945 must have given nuclear scientists pause. we are in the middle of it so we don't really see what we're in. nuclear proliferation among rogue states is upon us. terrorists will get their hands on them too (if not already).And let's not forget the chemical and biological wmd's that abound. This is a when, not if scenario. We should reinstitute the draft and start preparing for the big one.
