As though the Repubs hadn't earned every iota of their current sorry situation. Luck, my sore great toe . . .

The 2000 election was unwarranted good luck for the Repubs, as was 2004 (although not to the same extent). I hate to say it, but 9/11 was good luck for them as they could run on fear, fear, and more fear, with a touch of slime thrown in for good measure.

I think they've run out of good luck, but we can't relax. Work, contribute, persuade to achieve a great victory in 2008, and, then hold the feet of our new leaders to the fire so they do not forget why they were elected.
