Hillary for sec of state
by sasuke99

Yesterday was a tie and the trend is a disaster for Hillary. Negotiate for sec of state now. Even Hillary haters would have to see some value in this: The world loves the Clintons, they spend more time out of the country...win win!

I would like to see the following cabinet

Secretary of State: Joe Biden

Secretary of HUD: Hillary...maybe Education

Attorney General: John Edwards

Secretary of Defense: Wesley Clark

Ambassador to the UN: Bill Clinton

Secretary of Commerce: Al Gore

Are you writing for the Spaceballs' Sequel since the idiots in the writers guild have gotten a little rusty?

I don't think that bunch could collectively score over 100 in a friendly game of Scrabble.

Rumsfeld vs Wesley Clark....

Edwards vs Gonzalez (or Ashcroft)

Biden vs. Rice

Hmmmm. I'll take my picks over the mouseketeers that Bush appointed.

Re: Hillary for sec of state

Note to Hillary and Middleview:

Bush is not running for office.

Re: Hillary for sec of state

Note to OIFVet....thanks for serving in Iraq, but you're no expert on who should be secretary of defense, state or the attorney general.

Wesley Clark and Joe Biden would be the two best appointments anyone could make on the basis of their resumes. Edwards would be better than any recent appointment, and I'm going back as far as I remember....to Kennedy's administration.

I've met both Clark and Biden and have had the opportunity to talk to both men. You are going by what you've heard on faux news....

I'd like to know who you think would make good appointments to cabinet roles. Howsabout Rudy as secretary of defense? He's such an expert on national defense....he knew somebody in the army once. Maybe Romney as secretary of commerce. He managed an investment firm, so he must know all there is to know about the economy. Huckleberry could be secretary of religion and we could appoint Karl Rove as minister of propaganda.

Re: Hillary for sec of the insane
by worldwidewaco

are you insane...

Look west: Waco babies

Look east: Elian Gonzales mother dies so her son can live and live free- what about her woman's rights and Elian's uniform rule of naturalization?

Look south: The 'first black president' whose wife's political hitmen used to ask: Is he black enough- pulls the genius move of trying to strip white male voters from the opposition through a blatantly racist appeal that insists Obama would be a black man's president NOT an American president...

gee thanks genius have you ever heard what happened to JFK/ RFK/MLK/ Medgar Evers et al?!!?

if that move had been pulled by a republican they would have been vilified...by an independant- their career would be OVER

Look north: NAFTA/ CAFTA ect.

The whole world sees exactly what the repubs see and the MacClinton haters see

MacClinton and Heil Hilary Lady MacClinton are the bozo and clarabella of politics

keeep on clanging that cowbell clarabella...it ain't the liberty bell but it sure is cracked...it ain't a symbol of freedom...it's a guaranteed republican admin. November plus a day...

SecState.... yah ok

Nice dream team but an awfull lot of big egos there.

Sorry to see the lack of serious responses. HUD? Education?? Why not just ask if she'd like to water the plants? She is a respected senator for life from a huge state with a national profile and oodles of money to pass around. Plus she has run a credible presidential campaign. Add it up and even State is a step down. The upside is it's higher profile for the few years you have the job.

Agree with the ego problem, hence State, where I figured they could be as far apart as possible. Perhaps not enough.

Just thinking out loud about hout to make everybody happy.

The only one I think too self absorbed to go her own way is Hillary. I've met Edwards (for just a moment), Biden and Wes Clark and think that they would all be up for helping solve the almost overwhelming situation that we are confronted with. They may also see that such service could be good for setting up another run for the White House. They are all fairly young men.

I could see Hillary looking out for what is good for Hillary....no telling how that calculation would work out.

Re: Hillary for sec of state

Senator for life? No kidding. I must have missed that change to the constitution.

She is as prepared to be secretary of state as she is to be president....having been married to the president. My wife is currently thinking about going into software development because we have been married for 20 years. She has never written software before, but if Hillary is qualified then the same logic applies.

Joe Biden would actually be good at the job and has been working in the area of foreign relations and policy for 30 years.

Hillary has been working on areas such as low income children's healthcare and education. If she regards that as a step down, it would confirm my suspicions of her.

NYS has oodles of money to pass around? To whom? The people of NYS sure aren't seeing any of that.

My, what esteemed circles you run in. Where did you meet those clowns, at Chuck E. Cheese or the local screening of An Inconvenient Spoof?

Your cred just dropped a point and a half with the admission of being within ten feet of those wack jobs- Well, I'll give you a pass on Biden. I don't have too big a beef with him (except for that semi-mullet/partial combover he likes to sport).

I wish they would pick Edwards for AG. I would enjoy hearing him channel the thoughts dead babies on national TV. How many of my tax dollars would go to paying for his shampoo and conditioning habits?

Wesley Clark is more certifiable than Britney Spears. I am waiting for him to have a consult with Dr. Phil.

I belong to a veterans group and met Kerry and both John and Elizabeth Edwards at an event. I would have preferred Kerry to Bush, but of the three thought that Elizabeth was the most interesting.

I sat for 3 or 4 hours listening to Biden in a fairly small group (about 40 people). He is by far the most informed and rational of all the people running for president in this election. I had a chance to talk to Wes Clark on two occasions and find him to be an intelligent and capable individual. Your decision to label him as certifiable shows exactly how valuable your judgement is....thanks for being honest about your ability to form opinions with no information.
