Maybe some really can't see the difference
by Generic Voter

I'm starting to wonder if some people really can't see the difference between the CFL light and incandescents. Maybe it's a genetic thing, like the way there are chemicals that some people can taste and other's can't.

I find the light noxious. Even from new ones (I've tried). Regardless of overall color. It saps the color out of everything. It's creepy and depressing.

And any law that tries to make me use them will have to include home inspections and draconian penalties.

I live in a small house, drive a small car, do dishes by hand, and don't have lit monuments in the yard. I'll get over the guilt.

Check out the options before you judge. There are lots of different brands and styles available, including different color temperatures. CFLs that emit light similar to incandescent "global warming bulbs" are available. Just do a google search for online light bulb retailers.

So when the stores stop carrying them where are you going to go to feed your habit?

Approach your local lighting store and ask "you holding?"

Do you think we'll be able to get them in Mexico?? I wonder what the penalty for smuggling them into the US will be.

(Um, not that I would if it's illegal.)
