Not this white boomer

"All this promising rhetoric, however, will be put to the test when Obama is called on to take a position in the fall"

Anyone who has checked the vote by vote comparison (votesmart.org) of Obama and Hillary for the years they both had the chance to vote on the same bills will quickly realize two things. First, that on the actual votes cast, their positions were practically identical. Second, that Obama actually skipped voting on a large number of bills, including most budget bills for 2007. You call this making a change? I call it missing in action. I doubt that someone that prefers rhetoric over action will sway someone of my generation. After 30 years of work, three kids, and all that goes with those responsibilities, a speech maker just does not cut it. Hillary may focus on too many facts and may be a bit crusty from 15 years of being attacked by the Republicans, but at least she'll get the facts right, and won't be missing in action in the difficult negotiations with Congress and the world.

If Obama wins the nomination I will vote republican even though I am a Libertarian. There is something very phoney about that guy. I had the same feeling about GWB and my feelings were correct.

Then I guess if you'll vote for a repub over Obama, then you don't care about a woman's right to choose. I'm no Obama fan either...pretty talk doesn't mean a damn thing to me. But the supreme court is getting overrun by anti-choicers and the next nominee to the supreme court could destroy the lives of poor women...rich women will always have rights.

The rich always had a different set of rules to follow. The only people who get justice is the ones who can buy it.

As for womens rights, I don't believe abortions should be used as birth control. But if it is something that must be done, like in the case of rape, it should be dealt with before there is a heartbeat which is right about 10 weeks.

As for partial birth abortions, I am dead set against it no matter what the circumstances are.
