If by civilization you mean urban centers, advanced geometry, mathematics, engineering, astronomy, arts & literature, hierarchical religion, and complex philosophical and theological systems, you've left out: the Incans, Aztecs, Maya, and Cahokians of the Americas; the Meroeite, Egyptian, Nuba, Abyssian/Ethiopian, West African (Soninka, Mali, and Songhay) empires of Africa; and the Chinese, Japanese, Arab, ancient Judaic, Babylonian-Mesopotamian, Asian Indian, and Central Asian civilizations of Asia--

--then, no, "white men" did not invent "most, if not all, of what we use today." If literacy, specialized division of labor, and diversified subsistence methods are your (limited) definition of civilization, then most European groups did not qualify as "civilized" for many of the centuries/millenia in which some of the above gruops did.

This is not to detract from the many great things created by European-descend peoples throughout history.

Serious question: where and how were you educated?

Marzipan, you may be technically correct, given the ancient Egyptian and related achievements. But look at recent history.

How is Zimbabwe doing today?

How many Nobel Prizes have been awarded to Sudanese, or Ethopian, or Nigerian, or Kenyan, or Ghanan scholars?

Most all African countries are socialist cesspools. Which African nation is at the top of your own hit parade? And why?

Now consider Jewish scholars, particularly in reference to their numbers. How about Muslim scholars, particularly in reference to their numbers of arond 1.2 billion.
