The media said the Giants couldn't win
by acptulsa

Suppose they could be just as wrong about Ron Paul?

good point, bad example: (Paul would defitely represent a team that didn't make the playoffs). If you say 'the media said Hillary is divisive and unelectable, and she can't stop the Obama jaugernaut', then, yes, they would (have been) similarly wrong and biased.

I disagree. Paul is in the playoffs right now. Conversely, they all but crowned Giuliani, and he didn't make the playoffs. Likewise, there was a time that Thompson was declared to be the G.O.P.'s savior. Meanwhile, the party itself claims to be concerned about attracting young voters to assure it has a future, yet turns its back on the one candidate they're sening their last dimes to.

Ron Paul is like the Miami Dolphins this year. He stinks and has no chance of winning.

Real Slim K:
I admire your loyalty if not your lessor grasp of reality

G.O.P. primary voters are trying to decide whether a combative warhawk with no grasp of the issues, a flip-flopping, job-cutting mogul famous mainly for overseeing the Big Dig, or a theocrat who wants to alter the Constitution to suit the Southern Baptists will be better suited to win the general election and/or draw youth into the party, and you're questioning my grip on reality?

Whatever suits you...

I'm just surprised that it was two 'limp-wristed, anti-american, wine sipping, ACLU, atheist-college professor, liberal-blue states' that faced off for the Super Bowl....beating all those red-blooded, god-fearing, conservative you-can-trust-to-be tough red staters, especially Texas. Go New York Giants!
