The inside post is accurate enough, but the headline on Slate's front page is sloppy, and tars all of NOW with the foolishness of one state organization's leadership.

The whole country is talking about this dumb press release as if it came from national NOW and speaks for the entire feminist movement. National NOW quickly disavowed it, but this will reach the status of legend, to be forwarded in emails and discussed on snopes.com for years to come.

Oh, please. NY anything is more-or-less national in scope. This isn't the NOW in Dayton, Ohio we're talking about.

I hope you are right, and the media machine NOW continually uses to its' advantage will finally bite them in the ass.
