My wife is not uncaring . . .
by dk_brown

and yet I drove myself home. Why not? It was a pretty simple procedure. If I had asked, I am sure she would have taken me but, really, having my wisdom teeth out when I was 18 was more of an ordeal than this.

It is funny for me to watch for certain throw-aways in a humor piece can be construed as being so much more important than they really are. Tabitha = uncaring because Michael drove himself home. Ha!

And, for the record, this is such an easy choice if (i) the couple decides it is done having kids and (ii) the man decides that he is done having kids should anything happen to his family. There is no way I'd want to have more kids. Should something happen to my wife and I ended up with someone else, I still would not want more kids. "Oh, but she might", one might say. "Nope", I say because if she did, it would make sense for her to find someone else.

Thank you. Makes total sense to me.

Although my husband wanted a lot of tea & sympathy for his 'ordeal' so I chauffered him everywhere and did a lot of coddling for days.

It was totally worth it, though.
