This is simply untrue. Manhattan Island has about the same population in one sixth the land area.

The Gaza Strip has almost 4000 people per square kilometer. San Francisco has over 6000. Calcutta has 24,000. Monaco has over 32,000. Manhattan has 25,000. Gaza City itself comes in at under 9000.

If you can't get simple facts right, you shouldn't be a journalist.

Rastogi said "one of the highest", not "the highest", and "one of the highest" leaves a lot of room for interpretation - is it the top 1%? 5%? 10%?

If there are 1,000 places more crowded than Gaza, then it doesn't explain anything and doesn't belong in the "Explainer". Instead of explaining it's merely propaganda.
