The Clintons may play dirty, but they play to win.

Between Obama and Clinton, who has the guts to win in November? No one can say that Clinton wont do whatever it takes to win the presidency. Be assured that the republican slime machine will be looking to "swift boat" either Clinton or Obama, whoever gets the nomination. The Clintons may play dirty, but they play to win.

If Obama gets to go the show, will he have the nerve and guts to go for the jugular of the republican nominee? He seems too "above the fray" to do so. John Kerry tried to ignore the personal attacks against him and look where that got him.

Hitchens has convinced me to vote for Clinton in the New Mexico primary. I can't take another 4 years of a republican administration.

The ultimate show of team politics, but it will all be for nothing if Hillary Clinton ends up losing to John McCain. How about voting for the person who will be the best president, not the best politician?

That's the problem. They'll say or do anything to get elected. What's the point of that? I want someone who stands for something besides power. We've had that for the past seven years and look where that's got us.

So glad to see your moral compass works to well. By the way, Dick Cheney and the Bushes play to win, my friend. You want 8 more years of the same thing from th opposite sides of the political spectrum? The Clintons ( and I voted for Bill in 1996) take your vote for granted and look at people like you as nothing more than a patsy. So go ahead and cast your vote and be her little you-know-what.

Senator Obama's approach will work better. He is tagging the candidate with the swiftboating. Unlike Kerry he is responding immediately to the attack with the truth. Kerry's delay raise the question of possible truth in the attack.

ammendment: Look at South Carolina for the results. From 10% amoung white voters to 24%. Not to mention the over all win.

The Republican "slime machine" isn't anything compared to the Clinton one.

If this is true, then they have seriously misread the national cultural climate.

In 2008, "playing to win" is clearly a loser's game.

This explains developments like the return of John McCain, a man who has commited political hari kari in response to moral convictions more time than panderer Giuliani can even count. Guess which is about to be handed their a** in Florida?

If even the Republicans can reject sleezy Lee Atwater-style establishment campaigns this year, then surely the Dems can afford to follow suit.

Why would you vote for someone that you think is playing dirty? Simply because you hate the Republicans? Newsflash: a lot of Republicans (me included) dropped out of the Republican Party and registered as Independent after Bush and the congress; but why would you want to have another 4 years of dirty tactics of the Clintons? Do you think the Democrats' slimy tactics are somehow cleaner than the Republicans?

I agree with the responder who said you should vote for whomever you think will do a better job running the country; not because "they play to win." That doesn't make any sense.

The Clinton tag team.

I think Obama now knows he running against a tag team duo ala Big Time Wrestling. When you're in the ring with one, the other is finding a fresh folding chair to bang you over the head with. It's unseemly, but predictable that the former president is tasked with dragging Obama thru the primary mud.

When Hillary realized she was going to lose in S.C. she trundled off to states where her prospects were better, leaving hubby to perform a rear guard holding operation. And I for one do not buy any explanation that his comments were not all a totally scripted plan.

Obama has held up better than I thought he would against the Clintons but he can expect relentless pounding. I afraid when up against the Clintons it's either prevail or lose your political career. I'm rooting for the guy from Chicago.

Mike,

That's exactly how the Clintons want you to think. Here's the reality: both the Republican and Democratic candidate need independents and "leaners" of the other party to win. Period.

McCain can do that in spades. Obama can do that far, far better than any candidate. But so many people simply loathe the Clintons and all they stand for.

Hillary will lose handily to McCain for that reason. She woudl have a better chance against Romney, who is almost as hollow and cynical as she is. But Obama would destry any Republican candidate.

You need to understand: I say all this as a Republican who really really like Obama - not his polices but him and what he stands for. I would have a very hard time voting against him. I listen to conservative radio and I hear that over and over and over by other Republicans. Whereas we would rather vote for Satan over Clinton.

So sad that there are some of you that hate Bush so much that you can't see beyond your nose on what the Clintons are made of. Cheaters and unscrupulous. Voting for Hilary would be more of the same that we had for 8 years before. Scandals, misterious deaths, lack of morality. All they care about is having the POWER and yes, they play the race card either way....whatever they need to do, they do. Honesty and integrity has been long gone from their dictionaries.

If choosing to vote for the lesser of the 2 evils. Definitely Hilary is the MORE of the 2 evils. I will vote Republican. We know that Hilary is going to be the nominee, no matter what happens, she will be the one. Don't you get it?

If the Clintons really play dirty, they are not the only ones. Obama does the same thing too, but he is supported by most of the media.

However, I am not voting for Obama because I when I want to get the job done, I look for people who are efficient, who are rational, who have experience.

Of course, there are many peopel who elected Bush, and who are desperately looking for another dream. They would do anything just to stop thinking hard to solve the problems; they want to dream: Yes, we can. Yes, we can. Yes, we can. But then, when they have to start coming up with effective solutions to the giant problems of the country, a Yes, we can will not be enough. It will only be a sad joke.

The Republicans want Obama to win because they know that using a down to earth approach, they will be able to show most of the population that Obama is just nice words.

Playing dirty is not playing to win. Why should Sen. Obama address such foolishness? She is grasping at straws, resorting to tactics only known to high school students. She is not genuine and seems dead and unemotional, except when she over dramatized when she lost the Iowa primary. You very well should vote for a Republican if you think Hiliary Clinton will make a significant difference as our President. Do you people really believe that the 35 years she keeps throwing out there is of any relevance; if anything it shows how much she did not do as a government servant. The mud slinging that Bill Clinton is doing makes it clear that these people have no integrity, but I shouldn't be surprised; anyone willing to comprimse their positon over "HEAD" has no platform to stand on. Bill also lied about being a PIG and put on the same song and dance of showing remorse and compassion as his wife did when she found out her back was against the wall with Sen. Obama takng South Carolina. So one thing is for sure there is a track record of the inability to make sound judgements and being sincere in what they say and do. Color should not be an issue, but I will vote Barack Obama; not because he is Afro-American, but because he is the most qualfied without a doubt. When you play both sides of the fence the only thing you get out of it is splinters in your A_ _ . You can fill in the blanks.
