Here's how the process will go:

The DNC will struggle between black and female and wind up with one or the other, fatally crippled by the process, neither one of whom can win the general election.

Obama is too light, no substance thus far, merely a fleeting thought of "change" and "yes we can" without any substance or details behind the vague promises.

Clinton of course has so much baggage, hers and his, that her negatives are massive anchors which will pull her down, and rightfully so. She is a power whore who will do anything, put up with anything, say anything to get or keep power. She has no base values, ethics or moral values. Otherwise she would have shot or slit his throat decades ago - and been acquited by a jury of her peers!

If McCain gets the nomination, it's a walk. Others might have to work a little bit, but the DNC is completely screwed.

Call me a fool, but time will tell. I preedicted McCain weeks ago and I feel pretty good right now....

Now, this is what I don't get about American politics: If Obama came out for, say, Palestinian rights and how Israel should implement international law without delay (You know, those pesky UN resolutions that Israel itself signed on to) Obama is finished.

Not only that but his life would be in jeopardy. So, you see, Americans are trying to have both ways and that's what all the agony is about.

there was a higher vote count for the democrats than the repulicans in the South Carolina primary. As a matter of fact Obama garnered more votes than Republicans combined. This is a state that is a Red state in prior elections. An entrenched Red state casting more votes for Dem's than Rep' in the primary. Please explain that one!

Given the Clintons’ record of political success, sometimes in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles, we must assume they have things well in hand even now, as Obama appears to be surging. It’s all part of their plan.
Hillary cries and proves she’s human, a logical next step after proving she’s manly enough to face down the axis of evil. Then Billary turns South Carolina lemons into lemonade by conceding a state she was bound to lose, and in the process further isolating Obama as the black candidate in the eyes of voters who could swing Super Tuesday. It’s a kung fu move, letting the opponent’s weight and power contribute to his defeat.
The story line makes Bill the reason Hillary lost in South Carolina, so she can still look like a winner. Now all she’s got to do is appear to rein him in. We’ll forgive him for loving her too much, and have an easier time denying the memories of Monica when the Republicans start getting nasty.
What’s next? Rumor has it the Clinton camp is weighing a move that could catapult Hillary back into the uncontested lead: Bill endorses Obama, thereby stripping him of his magic Change mantle and turning him into just another Friend of Bill. Hillary bravely, cheerfully, steady at the helm, rises above old-style politics, dismisses the traditional alliances formed by her opponent and all his political cronies, and cruises on to victory.

It's not pretty, but whatever it takes to get the GOP out.
