Has anyone else noticed a lot of new (and frequently one time) posters in the last few days? Everybody seems to have a comment about either Hillary or Obama and then we don't see them again. I wonder if this is a new campaign ploy.

I haven't noticed this because I posted yesterday for the first time in about 4 years; I thought then that the Fray would be a real outlet for sincere discussion, but all I encountered was scatalogical assault from a bunch of child-men and mal-adjusts. I quit posting in disgust and sadness. "You decide '08" brought me back.

Should we be paranoid of campaign moles posting subversive messages? Who cares? They may be reading the other posts (which kind of a good thing, no?) and trying to find some kind of pulse. Besides, why not question their assertions in good faith?

I just found it odd that there were so many new posters with so little to say other than so and so sucks or somebody else rocks.....

I love a good debate. I just wish they were adding something to the conversation.

I came back too, after a 3 or 4 year break. I'm getting old and can't really remember the last time I posted. But it was under Lem in the old format.

I have noticed the board is more active then ever but its an election year lots of things at stake etc. I have also noticed a lot more heated rhetoric and just plain insults which will probably even get worse before Nov.

I think it would be funny if there were campaign operatives putting out messages on this board........I find it hard to believe that any of the campaign's pay attention to what is written here, but it would be cool if they did.

I'm thinkin' it wouldn't be a bad investment to have a few staff members go out and troll the web looking for active blogs where they might have a chance to express pro-candidate thoughts. My son found a site in 2004 "IHateJohnKerry.com" and registered there. They eventually kicked him off the site because they weren't interested in any pro-Kerry posts. That kind of site would only appeal to a small number of posters. Others could generate more interesting dialog.

There is some little office right now, with 10 Obama mama's typing away, responding, and debunking, and getting the word out. I can see the pizza delivery guy now...walking out with a bumper sticker tip, and the address to Obama's new campaign website!!!
