If Obama wins, instead of not voting, consider voting for the Republican candidate. I think that alot of people REALLY buy into that whole "Democrat/Republican" membership. They will all Preside over the same country! If you don't like what you are hearing on the Demo side, it is not a sin to hear what the other side has to say.

Um, no he hasn't. That would be dumb considering that blacks only make up 12% of the national electorate. Clinton did, however, start pushing the "look at him, he's black" card and it may have worked, since Obama only got 25% of the white vote in South Carolina.

I agree with you, it is like when asked at the polls, have you voted in other elections? The black lady replied, I voted every time, even when we didn't have a black person to vote for. What does that tell you?

What tactical advantage could Obama receive by pushing this "black issue?" If you agree that this issue weighs against him, then perhaps he is not the person who is making it an issue.

Despite Obama winning South Carolina, let's see how he does when he has to win some of the more red-neck states. He's nothing more than a flash in the pan. No way are voters going to turn the White House into the ghetto.

He's also the one that's starting to push the race card. Wonder when he'll start whining about the poor oppressed black issue to get some sympathy votes? If he wins the presidency, he'll give every black in America money for restitution from slavery. I am soo tired of hearing about them being slaves. They are so many generations removed from that, it's ridiculous. If he does win and gives them money, they should all be dropped from welfare and food stamps. They got their "slave" money, not get a job!

How about paying attention to his platform? The republicans have had control of the White House and Congress and have made a hash of things. None of this crop of candidates will admit that. How can you expect anything different from McCain or Romney? More of the same will wreck this country.

Romney wants to give Mormon men compensation for giving up their right to multiple wives.....not really, but Obama hasn't said he'd pay restitution for slavery either.

The Democrats have had controll of the Congress; that is why there has been a stagnant 3 years. The American people have been cheated out of the representation they have been paying for as both sides seem deadlocked in a power struggle.

Citizens pay millions every year in salaries, perks & retirement to our Senators & Congressmen but they have failed to actually represent the needs of the American people because they are so busy sniping at each other.

Barbara, refresh my memory. When did the democrats win control of Congress? Could that have happened in November of 2006, which means that they first had a majority in January of 2007.....Where did you get 3 years?

In fact, the dems don't have the majority that it would take to override a presidential veto.
