California restraining orders
by California Law
+1 Reply

In California, restraining orders are used for tactical advantage in family court. See, California has a plethora of laws that bar parents (or at least create huge hurdles) from being with their kids if domestic violence (DV) is involved. Restraining orders are part of the tactic of establishing DV.

Sounds ok on the surface, but in California, the Family Court calls many things domestic violence that most people wouldn't consider.

For example, "emotional abuse" is regularly considered DV. "Emotional abuse" may include things as mundane as calling a former spouse/mate "fat" (this was a real case).

Another real example, a boyfriend came home and caught his girlfriend carrying on (over the phone with an ex), the boyfriend got pissed, told her off, and threw a deflated soccer ball at her and ended the relationship. Yes, their son won't be seeing his dad any time soon.

Didn't Hillary throw an ash try at Bill over Monica? Good thing for Hill that DC is not on the West Coast.

Since Britney's boyfriend has had a relationship with her, he is now eligible to be called a DV perp too. (Let's hope he doesn't have any kids, because it can and will be used against them too)
