The Clinton Fallacy: Did blacks really make big economic gains during the '90s?

Kinda makes you think the author is gonna talk about whether or not blacks made economic gains it the 90's huh? Well she doesn't. She talks about a different question: Do blacks accurately assess the progress they made in the 90's? She accurately answers the second question with a no, and then tries to confuse the two questions and make you think the answer to the first is also no. But the article is dishonest, intentionally confusing the questions and then avoiding income and consumption gains to focus only on "median wealth". Wealth is not income. Basically she cherrypicked the one or two (out of dozens) stats that make it seem like no black gains were made. The rest of the article does not address the question in the title at all.

See this is the very kind of writing that I hate, not looking honestly at the subtleties, but just picking one or two stats to paint a dishonest picture. I don't even so much disagree with her point as with her intentional game-playing and misleading.
