I take a little offense at the Trailhead post concerning John Edwards and his minority status as highlighted in his appearance on the god awful Tyra Banks show. At the end of the post there is a reminder that southerners can vote for a white guy in this primary. I'm from the South, and I do personally like John Edwards quite a bit. But you know, in the South we've had quite a few white guys that have lost elections to women and to blacks. I'll admit that the South has been slow to catch up to the rest of the country - but just as the media had to rethink their conventional wisdom after Iowa and New Hampshire, it's long past time that they updated their views on the South.
