Why do the Fray discussants ignore Hitchens Question?

The article does not focus on Huck or the confederate flag, it is about the media. Most of the above discussion has been tangential. Why do the media give a Republican politician who panders to covert racism a free ride? (Or Republican and Democrat politicians who pander on other issues?) I think it reflects a corporate media that is afraid to confront issues that might jeopardize the bottom line. This has also been reflected in the diminished coverage of John Edwards and the freezing out of Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul from the debates. Why do the Fray discussants avoid this far more substantive issue to engage on a war that concluded in 1865? Hmmmmm.
It's already answered.

Talking head media types need to be jabbering out their drivel with a background like a picture of the candidate, or his staff or a campaign bus or a stage, or something like that. They need something (anything) to make it look like they are there so they know something we don't know.

Republicans don't pander to racists, but Democrats pretend they do to hide from the fact that those, like Senator Byrd, were once KKK members, and that most of the Democratic party are white people who keep blacks poor and uneducated in urban areas in order to steal their votes.

Good luck with that one, San. I guess 90% of the black vote going for Democrats doesn't indicate that Senator Byrd is forgiven, and that 'most' of the Democratic party are blah blah blah. It is too painful to confront your stupidity.

You are too much of an idiot to realize that him being "forgiven" for being a KKK member who use to burn crosses on black people's property was solely because HE WAS A DEMOCRAT, and that they are real racists who get a pass.

Why? Because they scape goated the South to get that pass! How are you so blind!

Thats a very good question. Also the inabilty to disscuss the issue and face the fact the 'press; is not so much 'free' as owned.

Stay on topic - Byrd and the rest aren't running for president.

We know how much you hate anything "democrat", but keep on the topic of the thread, or start another.
