Ron Paul never claimed to have the ability to do these things; he said that it was his intention to do them.

It has also been proven that he ISN'T a racist bastard. The NYT investigation showed that the word choice and prose style were incompatable with stuff he is DOCUMENTED as writing-- and even the head of the NAACP is standing up for him.

While you're on the topic of discussing things that a President supposedly has absolutely no control over (Presidential influence isn't control?) you might want to also discuss how many of the Presidential candidates plan to enact tax cuts, universal healthcare, spending reductions, housing bailouts, etc., etc. Do they have the authority to do these things on their own?
