WALLET
by curley
Hey, I think that was my wallet. What sucks is that I wouldn't keep the cash, I'd mail it back.

You know, I have three hundred bucks in my wallet right now. I'm not wealthy, but I'm not hurting. If I were to lose it, and it was returned by a nice girl, intact with all the money, cards, etc. still in it, I'd definitely give a reward. (Although, if she asked, that'd probably reduce its size)

I suppose if I got it back in the mail, empty, I'd be happier than otherwise.

Way to make the world a better place!

It could've been my wallet too. I recently lost my wallet with about $230 in it, carelessly letting it fall out of my purse. A few weeks later it was mailed back to my house with driver's license, credit cards, IDs intact, but the money was gone. Yeah it sucks to be on the other end. But I was more mad at myself for losing it.

The ex (who had some honor in him, anyway) found a purse once in a laundromat restroom, with a lot of money in it. We took the purse to her, since she probably needed it sooner than later. Turns out she had just cashed her social security check; but she really was more concerned about the license, credit cards, and pictures of the grandkids. We were living from paycheck to almost-paycheck at the time (and paid weekly), but it never occurred to either of us to keep it.
