Hillaryworld!

Hillary is the presumptive 2008 presidential nominee of the democrat party, so let's take a look at a future of Hillary, by Hillary and for Hillary's ambitions! <link>
Hillary is NOT a presumptive nominee.
by LT-7

She is just a candidate in the top tier. We are not nearly close enough to the election to predict the nomination accurately.

If she did become the nominee, it would be bad news for America and probably mean another idiotic Republican winning the election.

There are no really standout excellent choices available, and we need a real leader. It is depressing.

it's really sweet of you to take such an interest in our leading candidate, since you have none of your own at present. I did find this tidbit about your most popular candidate that is'nt running though... Former Senator Fred Thompson has an official website called: I'm With Fred, the express purpose of which is to lay the groundwork for his run for the Presidency once he gets done with sitting on the front porch and whittling and finally moseys on into town to file papers with the county recorder or some other act suitably bucolic enough to make Chris Matthews swoon. In the meantime, the website needs to built up his authentic folksy credibility and what better way to sell Fred Dalton Thompson than to equate him to famous Americans in the past who, when duty called, responded with greatness. From Fred's official bio: In March 2002, in the aftermath of the loss of his adult daughter, Senator Thompson announced that he would not seek re-election to the Senate. He has two sons who live in Nashville. He retired with an 86% American Conservative Union rating and a 100% rating from National Right to Life. Divorced in 1985, he remarried in 2001. He and Jeri have a three-and-a-half year old daughter, and a seven-month old son. In the tradition of Daniel Boone of Tennessee and President George Washington, citizen-legislators and leaders Thompson had admired growing up, he walked away from an easy reelection victory to seek new challenges. One small problem... Daniel Boone of "Tennessee": Daniel Boone (October 22, 1734 – September 26, 1820) was an American pioneer and hunter whose frontier exploits made him one of the first folk heroes of the United States. Boone is most famous for his exploration and settlement of what is now the U.S. state of Kentucky, which was then beyond the western borders of the Thirteen Colonies. Despite resistance from American Indians, for whom Kentucky was a traditional hunting ground, in 1775 Boone blazed the Wilderness Road through the Cumberland Gap and into Kentucky. There he founded Boonesborough, one of the first English-speaking settlements beyond the Appalachian Mountains. Before the end of the 18th century, more than 200,000 people entered Kentucky by following the route marked by Boone.[2] Boone was a militia officer during the American Revolutionary War (1775–1783), which in Kentucky was fought primarily between settlers and British-allied American Indians. Boone was captured by Shawnees in 1778 and adopted into the tribe, but he escaped and continued to help defend the Kentucky settlements. He was elected to the first of his three terms in the Virginia General Assembly during the war, and fought in the Battle of Blue Licks in 1782, one of the last battles of the American Revolution. Boone worked as a surveyor and merchant after the war, but he went deep into debt as a Kentucky land speculator. Frustrated with legal problems resulting from his land claims, in 1799 Boone resettled in Missouri, where he spent his final years. I think they meant Davy Crockett: Colonel David Crockett (August 17, 1786 – March 6, 1836) was a celebrated 19th-century American folk hero, frontiersman, soldier and politician; usually referred to as Davy Crockett and by the popular title "King of the Wild Frontier". He represented Tennessee in the U.S. House of Representatives, served in the Texas Revolution, and died at the age of 49 at the Battle of the Alamo. To be fair, all white guys in coonskin caps look the same to me too.
Thompson and Hillary are both useless.
by LT-7
Let's have somebody with a modicum of ability to get us back on track, please. These two couldn't lead their ways out of a wet paper bag.

I'm not saying it you hater. Data is. I'm not even saying she's gonna get the nomination. Data is. Voters are saying it. OK? you're the one looking stupid...not me.

Why don't you start your own party and run your own candidate and stay out of grownups business?

Here, Reality101!!!

We're lovin' Hillary! And we're lovin' YOU lovin' Hillary!!!

Welcome to OUR Hillaryworld!!!!

You knew with the Hillary books making it into the Washington Post today that Chris Matthews would have on his cavalcade of wingnuts to feed his appetite about the Clinton's personal life. There is no reason to have Morgan on as a guest except so she can rant about twenty year old debunked rumor

Tweety's fix is delivered by Morgan, as she salivates all over the set with her hatred of the Clintons. You'd figure with Dobson's crew so focused on people keeping a marriage together–they would celebrate their long-standing commitment. Instead, they celebrate the cheatin' heart of Newt Gingrich.

As Digby puts it:

Oh dear. Chris Matthews has a full on woody on television right now over the Hillary Clinton books. He's so excited, he's brought in right wing blow-up doll Melanie Morgan to give him his happy ending…

Bob Somerby has more on Gerth and Van Natta's talents

How does MSNBC justify having a person on the air as some sort of Clinton expert whose only function is to smear them? And she's so unstable—she was banned from PBS's Newshour?

Dear MrNotSoBrightSnide: What a fascinating raging debate you are having with yourself! Didn't your mom ever tell you that rage and insults are the first refuge of the intellectually and logically defeated? Obviously not, but you just keep on flaunting your geo-strategic and economic ignorance and pulling for Hillary. She may be the only candidate on earth that could save the inept Republicans from themselves in 2008! However, in the interest of the quality of discourse and debate on this board, it would be fascinating to see you move beyond your low grade rage and insults to actually defending the specifics of Hillary's plans for a socialist, defeatest America that refuses to defend its most vital strategic interests. I know defending the indefensible is impossible, but give it a shot! One specific question for you. Are the tyrants and terrorists of the world fearing or looking forward to Hillary becoming President?

Thanks, Mr. B, I thoroughly enjoyed your post, straightening out the Thompson folks on Daniel Boone. I grew up along the Cumberland River and there were many Boones in the cemetary at a state shrine in my Ky. town. Frosted me to see that faux Tenneseean try to claim him for Fred's benefit.

I especially liked the whittling reference. Think Fred dips snuff?

It's a mystery to me why anyone who wants the reign of imbeciles and incompetents to end has a problem with a possible Hillary candidacy. She's competence writ large, it seems to me. I may hate her vote to put war decisions in George Bush's hands. LT, if she gets the nomination and there are Democrats or independents who'd rather lose to another "amiable dunce" Republican than elect her, they should have to suck Dick Morris's toes for all eternity.

Speaking of 'things you do with yourself' it would seem you "Reich-Vingers" are doing rather a lot of it to yourselves whilst observing Hillary's progress. In fact, you might all go blind from it. Perhaps you have, because at this point you barely see your own candidates, for the purient observation of ours... Did'nt your mother ever tell you about THAT?
Re: I thoroughly enjoyed your post,
by MrBritesnide
I appreciate that reddirtgirl...These "Reich-Vingers" are shaking in their boots over a Hillaryworld...I have yet to hear any one of them make more than a passing reference to their own candidates...and now with Bloomberg perhaps entering the picture, they grow even fainter. Fred who?
Spell Check much?
by suck_ballut

If you are going to endeavor to sound educated and use multisyllabic words when attempting to demean others, at least spell them correctly so your myopic tirades come across partially literate.

Bright, and others
by Grimster

A little rabid, no? It's amazing to me how some on this board react at the suggestion that hillary isn't the 2nd coming of Jesus William Jefferson Christ.

The Poll's say she will be queen, the boardster's proclaim,

and thus treat those who oppose with great disdain.

However, our excessively extended season of this horse race means there is alot of time for misteps, and with our constantly monitoring/electronically connected/you tube loving society, ANY including hilliary, can make that one mistep at that one time, and fall to earth like the rest of the common folk.

Actually, out of the current top contendor's democrat side, I like Barack the best.. if you read the speeches given at smaller sites then the podium, barack I feel gives the better speeches.. its not all "crowd cheer" and hope reaffirmation, that is sold as discourse by all canidates.

Re: Bright, and others
by MrBritesnide
I have a great admiration for Barack Obama and would love to see him win...and I have not disparaged any of the field... It's a shame you feel the need to.
Re: Bright, and others
by Grimster

I have not disparaged any of the current canidates, I did toss a bit of mockery to bill clinton, because I feel that some idolize him to an excessive degree without looking at the situation entire, however, he isn't running for office.

You haven't disparaged the current field, you have disparaged people who would talk about it, and who wouldn't give adoration to your chosen one.

My grim cents.
