once you've grasped the calibre of the person put in office by the constitution and the voters, and the awful consequences that follow, foreign and domestic, are you ever tempted to say: "there's gotta be a better way to run a nation?"

of course, if dubya was the only law trampling mass murderer to achieve this office and power, one could shrug one's soldiers. but he's not.

There is definitely something wrong with a system that allows a mad or mentally deficient person (you choose which or both) to stay in power for 8 years. In a parliamentary democracy he would have been removed by a vote of no confidence a long time ago.

Set aside those PD's, and you are left with countries run by dictators, tyrants and fascists -- and Bush fits in with those guys quite neatly.
