let me guess, you dont want to support the woman and the child with your tax dollars in the form of welfare. So, the woman has a choice, raise the child in poverty, live in poverty, never have a better life, or end the pregnancy and work towards bettering herself so she can make a positive difference later. She will meet her maker in the end and then the decision will be made what is to become of her. It's not our choice to make or don't you believe what read? Or are you just being self righteous?

CaliforniaDreamin responds to the typical liberal:
1. Liberals always use "poverty" as a whipping stick. Support our socialist big-government tax and spend programs, or else ...
In fact, "poverty" is a relative term. America's "poor" live better than the average European. I've been to Europe many, many times. I've also been to Asia, and seen how they live.
Funny thing is, the "poor" people you liberals are always pretending to support and defend
A. Spend $1.50 to $2.00 for every dollar of income they report
B. Have a high ratio of color television sets and air conditioners and dishwashers and cars, none of which I had when growing up
C. Move up the scale of income as they get older and gain work experience
2. If death is preferable to a live in what you call "poverty," then clearly you should be for killing people who are poor and miserable (at least you put those two conditions hand in glove)
That being the case, what other poor people would you have killed?
3. "Compassion" is not lobbying for bigger government and higher taxes, as liberals do.
Real compassion is reaching into your own pocket and giving. Liberals don't do this. Take Hanoi John Kerry, please. Kerry and his "wife" paid only about 5% effective tax rate because they defer all their income with tax exempt bonds. Meanwhile Kerry owns a $9,000 bicycle, a yacht "Scaramouche," and several mansions.
He gives little to charity. Typical of liberals.
Read the book "Who Really Cares." It thoroughly documents liberal greed and avarice and lack of "compassion."
4. I'm sure glad my mother didn't follow the line of "if you're poor, abort your babies." I have a very fine life after being brought up by a divorced and quite poor mother.
After a life of working hard and smart and investing wisely, my investments earned $550,000 last year.
