Luis Guzman - cabeza do queso
by Colonel Truth
Brilliant. I became a fan of Luis Guzman when Paul Anderson disclosed in the credits to Magnolia that Guzman was playing himself (or at least someone named Luis Guzman) in the movie. Give me some of that cheese!
I love Guzman.

I think people don't realize how much character actors like him bring to any film projects in which they appear (most are overwhelmed by A-list starts or top-billed neophytes; veteran supporting actors only get recognized when they get breakout lead roles [like, say, Philip Seymour Hoffman with Capote]).

There are a lot of us, such as yourself, who recognize and really like to see "character actors"... we enjoy seeing them again as much as 'A-listers'. They're familiar, they're 'warm'. They're just other experienced actors who don't get the billing and high pay... but they have fans.

Even 'B-listers' like.... Bob Newhart. uh-huh.

Personally, I don't alphabetize actor lists. I didn't know LG was 'C-list'. Is there an 'F-list'?

Like I don't parenthetically include an actor's last 'good' movie after their name to show how 'current' and 'A-list' they are... I think it's very tacky to note past Academy Award Winner or Nominee status when listing stars of a movie and whatnot... their fame is enough to distinguish them. I guess that's Tinseltown, so 'Entertainment Tonight', but the rest of us don't have to differentiate the currency of stars like that. If they're good, they have a career... if not they're gone, usually... except for some popularazzi targets.
