"Recruiting for the Libertarian Party"
by hurricanejbb

Dr. Bill has stated that I am "recruiting." I'm not really, just promoting the party. I'm not trying to force anyone to change their affiliation, just making them aware that there are better alternatives to the two mainstream parties.

However, I don't want to make Dr. Bill upset, so I'll give recruiting a shot. Here are links illustrating the libertarian position on the issues. See how many you agree with.

Thanks. We need something different. A Ron Paul.

I don't support Ron Paul. I've learned he's had past connections with white supremacy and neo-Nazi groups. Just recently, he's been endorsed by David Duke.

Jim, I don't understand your position regarding Ron Paul, he was in 1988, the Libertarian candidate for President. Becareful there are many people who would like to smare his reputation by claiming he is anti-Semitic and is backed by neo-Nazis. There may be anti-Semitics/Neo-Nazis who are promoting him, not because he is one of them!!!

Hurricane,

Ron Paul does not, nor ever did have any connection to neo-Nazi or other hate groups. That's just a bunch of old media spin/lies.

There was one skinhead who sent him a donation and Paul didn't return it, so naturally, the old media treats this as a travesty because they can't find anything else wrong with Paul. So what if David Duke supports him. As I recall, the Communist Party USA supported Kerry in 2004.

I wonder how many members of the Communist Party USA have sent money to Hillary, how many members of the New Black Panther Party have sent money to Obama.....?

As for that one skinhead, I wouldn't have returned the money either, for the simple reason that it would send the message that all some "affected" person or group has to do is whine, and they would instantly be pandered to.

Dr. Bill and Hrothgar, you make good points. But aside from that, Ron Paul just doesn't appeal to me. That's why I'm backing Wayne Root.

I must admit, I don't know who Wayne Root is.

Let's get real here folks the Libertarian Party is a off shoot of the John Birch Society which needs no explaination!

I do not think a lot of people know much about the Libertarian party. Maybe they just want an alternative to the status quo.

Sad to say, Unebigot, but I don't think you'd like the Libertarians. They believe in a free market, something a rabid commie like yourself probably has fits about when the subject is mentioned.
