I don't watch much news on television, but I often watch "Late Edition" on Sunday, featuring Wolf Blitzer and the best.... I think he sometimes cites some award or other, but I thought it was for that particular show on CNN, not all of CNN. It is rather grating to hear his chant over and over. True, Blitzer is an upbeat fellow, no matter how bad the news, but if he really wants to cheer up his audience (as opposed to his "team"), he should say, "featuring the best audience watching a political show on television." I'm totally sick of this Blitzer thing as well. I think the reporters shoulds stick to reporting and leave the advertising to others. It sounds cheesy and self-serving. That being said, the only thing worse than Wolf's incessant tagline is John Edwards's story about Natalie Sarkissian's liver transplant and the guy in West Virginia with the cleft-palate. I think Ronald Reagan started these "personal" stories, but now they just seem so contrived, especially when you hear the candidate repeat them again and again. If I was Natalie Sarkissian's family, I'd be sending Edwards and cease and dissist on that damn story.

Wolf's other annoying little line is when says to a guest "tell our viewers here in America and around the world..." I feel like shouting to the screen, "Yes, Wolf, people know that CNN is viewed around the world. Stop being so fascinated by the advent of 1960s satellite technology."
