Perhaps...

...people who don't have enough of a stake in our country to own a photo i.d. shouldn't be voting anyway. Such people have nothing to gain or lose from the voting process except larger handouts for themselves. They cannot be trusted with something as important as the franchise.

So you are telling me that when my grandmother decided 20 years that she was a hazard to other's behind the wheel of a car and took it upon herself to have other's, be it family or cab, shuffle her around on her errands because she refused to renew her driver's liscense for the safety of other's around her that she didn't hold enough of a stake in this country that her opinion wouldn't of mattered anyways? That she was only looking for a handout? You should really think a little harder before you post something so absurd.

You know there is such a thing as a state ID card, and if your grandmother had a driver's license in the late 80s I would be amazed if she could not get one of these. how do you think people who don't know how to drive, or have lost driver's licenses, board airplanes, buy alcohol, use credit cards, enter public buildings, etc... It is my understanding of this case that the state of Indiana eve offers a FREE identification card to those without driver's licenses.
