Obama will be President
by progressivebulldog
+1/-1 Reply

Hillary ran her candidacy as if she already had the nomination. In her usual fashion she played to both the left and the right, something that might be good if she were already the Democratic nominee but this simply was not the case.

Many progressive Democrats hate Hillary's stance on the Iraq war and her vote on authorizing action in Iran. She is, as Obama called her "Bush/Cheney lite."

The people want real change and Obama offers this while Hillary offers more of the same. The people, not the party, will decide and Obama is a man of the people.

I like Obama, but what's the "real change" that he's offering? I've heard nothing but empty rhetoric from him and most of the other candidates. What's his plan?

Yeah, go ahead you idiots and vote a Muslim into the white house! Barack "Hussein" Obama is of Muslim decent, theres no getting away from that!! It's obvious that all of you Obama supporters have well forgotten 9-11. WAKE UP!!

ANYONE WHO VOTES FOR OBAMA IS A TRAITOR TO THEIR COUNTRY!!

Not very "sly," are you?

Look who's talking...........

Sly is ridiculous, and really, does it matter if he's muslim?

Does anybody really believe that Hillary is about change and is not part of an old guard? Plus, to everybody else besides Democrats Pres. B. Clinton is a terrible liability. The guy is baggage. Plus, HRC is NOT electable.

Obama feels fresh. Regardless of the actuality of substance the guy has some serious hype and is riding a wave of enthusiasm that seems unstoppable.

McCain has some serious creds, and does come across as someone who could bring change. The truth is, the only person who could beat Obama, especially right now, is McCain. Well, hell, it'd be a close one at least and a great race to witness. Plus, I think it would be mostly free of dirty ads given the experiences both cadidates have had with them.

Does it matter if he's Muslim? That is the most ignorant comment I have ever heard!!

No your statement is ignorant for two reasons:

1. The Constitution says that there should be no religious test for office so it really doesn't matter if he's a Muslim and

2. He's not a Muslim.

Are you really that ignorant?

Another one who did not hear Obama admitt to his Muslim decent.

I hope you're not serious...his last name being Obama has nothing to do with Osama bin Laden. Also, all who are of Muslim heritage are NOT terrorists! You're the one who needs to wake up. America is made up of thousands of different cultures and people of different backgrounds. If you can't understand that, maybe you should move elsewhere.

Anyway, getting back to the topic.. I think it's still too early to say who the best president will be. I think Obama's younger age might really help bring a new point of view to American politics that could desperately be needed. Everyone wants to help make America better but I think too many politicians and citizens, both Republican and Democrat, are getting so wrapped up in the whole "We're right, they're wrong" mentality and forgetting about what really matters. Maybe Obama can help get rid of some of the party polarization and policy deadlock and real change can actually happen. I still don't know for sure who I want to vote for yet, I still need more information.

my fear is that obama will be assassinated if he wins the election. remember, violence is as american as apple pie.

i suggest that he choose Bloomberg as his V-P running mate. that way we will have a decent, competent, rational leader running things if the crazies takes down another president.
