I welcome their hatred
by Arlington
FDR's point was something so many people have forgotten, or never knew -- that being on the right side requires choosing sides. So many people now want to be "independent" where the meaning of "independent" means committed to nothing but my own self-interest. There's not much future in that.

Being "nice" as the hand-wringing reflex it's become, is now morally wrong. Christ, even Jesus turned some tables over in that Temple.

"I welcome their hatred" ...

"Truth comes a conqueror only to those who have lost the art of receiving it as a friend" (Rabindranth Tagore)

Those who hated FDR were Losers of the Art (BIGtime). America won. By definition, the Better Angels signal the Taken Stand, and not to turn from whatever fight that will almost certainly follow. Timing is everything. The time for Miss Manners Bi-Partisanship will come again, if America's cultural luck hasn't completely run-out. Now, however, we need Tom Paine; unminced alarm and courageous outrage.

Sow the $pin, Reap the Whirlwind.

Let us once again, welcome "Their" (the Ba$e Elites) HATRED. We should find it, how2say..."stimulating"
