The thing is, it actually makes me like him more. His family just looks insanely happy, in a very genuine, and human, way. Sure, the matching outfits are ridiculous and corny, but it made me smile. And I don't even like the guy.
Unfortunately, I don't think it's really comparable to Hillary's photo. The problem is that her photo makes her look "weak" and "tired" (as harsh critics of hers have pointed out). Yes, these are human characteristics, but not desirable for our next president. I hate the double standard, but unfortunately Hillary has no room to show weakness in this race.
Hillary has my support if she is our nominee, but I have to say that the photo does not bode well. It might humanize her to sympathetic females, but unfortunately I don't think men have much sympathy for her at all. And conservatives have especially little empathy for people they dislike.
Liberals, meanwhile, are not about to ridicule some absurd candidate wearing a fat clown suit. There are much more embarrassing - and substantive - things about Huckabee than this photo.
