Virgin Birth?

The explainer didn't answer the exact question that was posed today: can a virgin give birth (without supernatural intervention). The answer given explained how a baby could theoretically have a biological mother without the contribution of a biological father. As for the mother being a virgin, there may be many instances of this occurring. Suzanne Somers, for example, claimed that she became pregnant when the father of her baby ejaculated outside her vagina the first time she was going to have sex--no intercourse occurred. Although it wouldn't be the most reliable way to conceive, this seems like a possible way to become pregnant (regardless of the reliability of Somers' account).

I knew a woman who claimed this also happened to her, and I have heard of it happening to others as well.

Does not seem all that improbable.

These scenarios are ONLY believed by the female judge hearing a case for child support.

Blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

The woman I refer to had an abortion, so no child support at issue.

I suspect that, in cases of "virgins" conceiving, the reality is either that a lie was told in an irrational attempt to maintain a claim of "virginal purity;" OR, there was confusion about actual penetration occuring (not really as unlikely as it might seem).

Mother Mary (as) should be excluded from this discourse given the miraculous nature of her pregnancy and the impeccable character of her and her family AND the fraudulent, spurious, corrupt characters of the rabbinical orders which opposed Zakariah and his family.

As for Suzanne Sommers being impregnated by the male et al, it is known that semen can be emitted before ejaculation as well. Thus, if the man was inside her for even a moment and prematurely emitted only a small amount, that would be enough to impregnate her.

Of course you are a man ? You needs only go as far as a gynacologist or another doctor and ask, to find that this kind of conception is not only possible but isn't all that rare.

Sexism aside....

I'm sure it could happen--whether any doctor knows anything about the true frequency of occurrence is another question. Anecdotal reports of it happening are clearly untrustworthy for many obvious reasons (i.e., deceit, denial, or delusion regarding the actual events). I doubt very much that any "clinical study" has attempted to show how likely it is physiologically.

It's interesting to think that if it DOES happen, that it's no doubt a relatively new phenomenon: "Dating" as it occurs now in western societies (of, say, the last 100-200 years) was not at all common before the modern era. In older cultures young males and females were either carefully kept apart until marriage--or, if not, pregnancies I am sure were expected to happen. I can't imagine many pre-modern scenarios where intimate entanglements just short of actual intercourse were as common as they probably are today.

Mr. Paine,

The miracle of the Virgin Birth can be found at Wal-mart...it is called a "turkey baster."

That's right...it may even have been subcontracted out by God with a little supercharging of the "brain" cell DNA via biotech to make Jesus smarter than the average lawyer so that he would really piss them off so that they would do the dirty deed so the law would be fullfilled. Afterall, this is the only planet that would be dumb enough to kill their God...just saying...

If there is a penis close enough to a vagina to ejaculate on or near it I think, at this point, the term virgin is purely clinical anyway.

Except Maryam, daughter of Zakariyah (as), was of impeccable character. And Jesus, son of Maryam, was a fantastic man surrounded in miraculous events who preached with such eloquency, accuracy, and magnanimity, grace, mercy, peace, and he was from such an impeccable family, that one is compelled to look at the rabbinical orders who levelled the allegations against Maryam.

Let's look at these rabbinical orders: the Sadducees and the Pharisees. The Sadducees were elitists who capitulated to the spreading Roman global order, even encouraging Jews to engage in the globalization. Apparently the Sadducees even rejected life after death and took an opportunistic literalist interpretation of the Torah. How many other concessions the Sadducees made in order to capitulate to Roman domination in exchange for Jewish elite obtaining a piece of the profits. While the Sadducees monopolized influence with the 'Israeli monarchy' and the subsequent political machinations with the Roman empire, the Pharisees rivalled the Sadducees in their monopolization of study and recitation the Torah.

As well, apparently the Pharisees were the liberalist interpreters while the Sadducees the literalists. It is said that their combined efforts rendered the Jewish nation inundated with codified legalization which burdened the people and of which the Pharisees themselves were hypocritical.

Ultimately, the primary factions that levelled false allegations against Maryam and Jesus were the same parties: the politicalized Jewish orders that rivalled each other for power, were full of corruption and hypocricy.

Why do you accept their allegations though they are full of illrepute? Do you accept American politicans eventhough they are full of illrepute?

Correction: Imran was Maryam's father, not Zakariyah. Zakariyah was her relative who took care of her in her secluded room in a temple.
