What utter drivel!
by Cyrano

I thought the writers' strike affected Hollywood, not Slate. Reading about the "adventures" of a correspondent who spends his time lost out in Middle of Nowhere, Iowa is about as much fun as watching paint dry. Boring, boring, boring. Even worse than the candidates, if that is possible.

Now, if he wants to write about something exciting, maybe he should try covering the Robot Fighting Championships in San Francisco. At least the nation has gotten something useful out of those - the bomb disposal robots at use in Afghanistan and Iraq. The only thing that would interest me about the stale baloney being put out in Iowa by the candidates and their hangers-on like Slick Willy would be if somebody drowned one of them in an Iowa silo, or one of them was killed by a drunk driver, or something like that. Until then please leave the boredom to the talking ehads on the evening news.

I would love to cover Robot Fighting Championships.
You'll need a bigger map

About the size of the one in the Bible tracing Paul's missionary trips. I can see it now. John from Thessolonia...Reporting from Antioch...Cons in Crete.

Oh...that would be Saint Paul not Ron.
