I believe that's Oprah-speak for "fuck you, you pathetic nobody"... but I'm not an Oprah fan, so I'm not really familiar with her outside of the very recent (after ~3 decades) entrance into ONE AND ONLY ONE political race.

BTW, as far as being "for sale", I believe her net worth exceeds all the candidates in both parties combined, and all the campaign war chests combined, several times over.

So whether her words translate exactly or not, I'm afraid I'll have to say: Fuck you, you pathetic nobody... she has a right to support someone if she finally finds a politician she can believe in.

Wow, I never thought of that. Isn't it strange that Oprah's audience are mainly white women who can sit at home and watch Oprah? That's just weird to me....I'm not sure why, but it is. I don't know if it has any significance on the campaign trail (although my Mom is an ardent Oprah fan who might vote for Obama, although she's usually a Republican. She's was also a single mother who can only watch Oprah after she gets home from work, but stll votes Republican.)

I'm not sure it has anything to do with anything, and the world is bizarre sometimes, but I wonder if the endorsement is a stimulus. Even so, I don't think it means that Oprah is for sale (lots of celebrities have endorsed candidates. I'm still in awe of Chuck Norris's participation. I mean, YEAH! CHUCK NORRIS!!!). If I were Oprah--a very wealthy and idealistic woman who is very much a supporter of African-American rights and whose ethos is wrapped up in being an agent of change, Obama is the natural choice.

But still, it's weird that her audience, or at least the audience that I'm in personal contact with (which is extremely limited), normally votes Republican.
